Creative Painting with Lucie Cookson

Each term, you will dive into a diverse series of hands-on projects, exploring everything from classic underpainting, glazing, and colour mixing to modern, expressive palette knife work and alla prima applications.
Led by expert artist and instructor Lucie, this class offers an exceptionally supportive and visual learning environment. Lucie guides you through the creative process with clear, step-by-step demonstrations. By painting alongside her students, she provides real-time illustrations of how to approach every stage of an oil painting — from managing mediums and layering to the final, vibrant brushstroke. You will leave this course with a refined technique, a portfolio of varied projects, and the skills to tackle any oil painting with ease.
